We were impressed with CableMod's cables when we looked at its ModFlex kit for Corsair's AXi series PSUs
last year. ModFlex is very flexible but obviously has its downsides and having used the kit regularly (it's attached to our motherboard test PSU) we've found that it doesn't hold up well to lots of pulling and snagging. In your typical PC, though, it would be fine, and we loved the fact that so many colour options were available too.
CableMod's custom cables created using its configurator for Corsair's new SFX series PSUs
More PSU lines have been added, such as those for SFX PSUs from the likes of Corsair and the company now supports modern PSUs from Be Quiet!, Corsair, EVGA, Seasonic, SilverStone and XFX.
There are also ModMesh cable options too. This thicker, plastic-feeling braid is around 2.8mm thick compared to around 2.3mm for ModFlex. ModMesh is more rigid too, so the cables tend to line up and look neater, plus they also work with most third-party cable combs.
CableMod also offers other cables in a range of colours - all pre-braided, of course. There are PC power cables, SATA data cables and even Ethernet cables, in addition to its own RGB LED kits. The reasoning is that if you're obsessing over the rest of your PC you may as well kit it out with the same colours for your SSD, hard disk and even external cables - they look pretty good, too.
